Hello Friends and Relatives,

Many of  you know the situation that our son Benjamin is in. For those that don't, I apologize for not keeping you in the family loop, but this is something that we really didn't want to broadcast over social media.

The Reader's Digerst version, and this is a very Reader's Digest version, is that Ben has been held in a South Florida detention center for crimes that he ABSOLUTELY DID NOT COMMIT for the last three years of his life. He has had a trial that resulted in a hung jury, which was then declared a mistrial. The new trial is May 22nd.

Again, without much detail, Ben's charges carry sentences of LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT THE CHANCE OF PAROLE. This is truly every parents nightmare, and we have certaibly learned a lot about the criminal justice system - you are GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!

For the first trial, Monica and I had to empty our 401k accounts and borrow thousands of additional $'s to pay for his private attorney and the cost of the trial.

The cost of the retrial is not nearly as much as the initial trial, but still a HUGE expense.

Suffice it to say, our well has run dry, and we are, reluctantly, asking for help from friends and family help pay for the attorney and trial cost.

For those of you that do not know the specifics of this case, and want more info as to the charges and circumstances revolving around Ben's case, please private message me, email me (ifielman@gmail.com) or call me (516 721-4979) and I will fill you in on the unfortunate details.

Many friends of Ben and the Fielman family have expressed their desire to come to the trial, and that support would be incredible - it is Monday, May 22nd in Ft. Lauderdale. For those folks that wish they could come to the trial, bit for may reasons cannot, this FUNDED JUSTICE account is a great way to show Ben your love and support. His is literally fighing for his life.

Thanks again to all the family and friends that have endured this nightmare with Monica and I, those that have visited him and written him letters, and given us the strenght to see this through till he is aquitted and sent home to us!

And thnks you to all that might have the wherewithal to help us in this time of financial need.

With love, thanks and respect,

Ivan & Monica
