We are asking help from our family, friends, and supporters for help with legal fees and cost for an appeal attorney. As hard as it is already is for our family, asking for help is the last thing we ever imagined doing. Help us bring them home!!

Hello everyone,

This Crowd Funding Page was created for Jose Torres, Kayla Norton and their three small kids. All proceeds benefit them.

My name is Amber Suarez. I am the sister of Jose Torres. (A.K.A Joe) As many of our family and friends know, Joe and Kayla were recently sentenced in Douglasville, Ga on February 27 2017. This was about an incident that happened back in July 25, 2015, where Joe and Kayla were at the wrong place wrong time when an unfortunate event occurred. There were 15 individuals that day of the incident and all pleaded guilty, meaning they all took plea deals; however, Joe and Kayla went to trial to prove they did not do such crime. We know Joe and Kayla personally and they would never commit such crimes that Douglas County has charged them with.

We are asking help from our family, friends, and supporters for help with legal fees and cost for an appeal attorney. As hard as it is already is for our family, asking for help is the last thing we ever imagined doing. Currently, we are helping support Joe and Kayla’s three children. Due to the media, my father's business has been effected dramatically and he has been out of work for 2 months. My mom and dad have had to sell cars, give up their personal life, and sell personal property just to make ends meet and support Jose and Kayla while in jail. My family has always worked for everything they have and any help we can get will be greatly appreciated.

Funds are required as soon as possible so that transcripts, appeal attorney fees, and legal advice can be obtained.

The support means so much because with this help we can have a peace of mind that a good attorney will be hired and that we can continue to support Joe, Kayla, and their three children.

We are truly grateful and appreciate every and all help. I want to take the time to remind people that Joe is not the person he is portrayed by the media. If you have ever gone to high school with him, been around him, or worked next to him you know he is not that racist individual portrayed by the media nor is Kayla.
