2 Years running

my name is krystle, i've been with kevin for 7 years.

kevin is one of the funniest, friendliest, happiest people i've ever met.  he makes the best out of any situation he's ever in. he's liked every job he's ever had.  he's always got a smile.  he always shares everything he has, he's always got a helping hand for anyone that needs it.

Kevin got arrested at summer camp music festival in 2015, we borrowed bail money then (that we're still paying back) and we sold our tickets to the grateful dead santa clara shows and sold pins at the grateful dead shows in chicago that summer to pay for his lawyer then, that was the only way we could afford it.

he ended up getting a plea deal of completing an impact incarceration program (bootcamp), he completed it in the 120 days, but was gone for a total of 6 months including the jail time waiting to get into the program.  he was released on parole june 16, 2016, he had to stay in peoria, illinois until he could get his parole transfered to indiana.

he transferred to indiana October 13th, he immediately got a job. everything was going good, he was meeting with his parole officer once a week. then he was driving to work on November 20th and got pulled over driving my dad's truck that he was borrowing until he could get his own car. the reason for getting pulled over was the trailer hitch was blocking the license plate. my parents had never been pulled over for this, and they drove the truck like that for years.

the cops told him he had a warrant, and had to take him in, we had no idea from what. we thought something must have been entered wrong from the parole transfer.

come to find out, a case was opened June 29th and they issued a warrant for his arrest july 1.  he's being charged with a delivery of a controlled substance on august 3rd, 2015.

we don't know how this slipped through on a parole transfer, or how it never came up to his parole officer.  it really doesn't make any sense.

his bond is $3500. cash only.

he went to court on Nov 23rd, he asked for a bond reduction, they said someone wasnt there that day, so they couldn't do it, and hes been sitting there ever since.

he has a court date January 10th.

so, I'm trying to raise money either for his bond or for a lawyer, whichever seems to be a better use of whatever money we can get.
