As an attorney, it is sometimes difficult to not be able to assist others in getting the justice they deserve. It can be from lack lack of resources, a simple lack of the time available or any other number of issues. But sometimes, you need to make the time and find the resources because its not only their liberty, but yours that's at risk if you do nothing. That is why I share this story with you. This is an opportunity to make a difference, and to make the world a better place, even if its one person at a time.

A short time ago, I was approached by friends to review a video involving an outspoken individual from Missouri. As one may think, how much could a single person get involved with without complicating their own life, and what do I need to get involved with politics so far from home. After much hemming and hawing, I reviewed the video. I was flattened by what I saw. It was then that I choose to take up the banner and protect the rights that we so many times take for granted.

His name is Jeffrey Weinhaus. Jeff is currently the "guest" of the State of Missouri serving 30 years for allegedly assaulting a police officer. If you are like me, you're now asking yourself, why did I get involved?  Simple; it was his politics, and voice not the evidence or his interactions with the officers that cost this man 30 years of his life. After nearly killing him, Jeff was arrested, tried and convicted, all on the say so of two officers that contradicted the facts and evidence.

I am asking you to take a few moments and view the video and if you see what I believe you will see, make a donation to the federal civil rights action and appeal for Mr. Weinhaus, share this with your friends and family and ask them to donate too.

As this matter is not just about Jeff but about the rule of law, and the rights of every one of us.

Thank you for your support
Yours in Liberty,
Warren R. Markowitz, Esq.
