My Best friend who is 26 years old, was convicted of 50 years in jail for an act of self defense that would save his life with his legal concealed carry. He is a marine veteran who fought for our country.

I am Caitlin, Aaron's best friend. I am here because my friend, a Marine Veteran was wrongly convicted of murder. He had used his right to defend himself in his own home. He was new to the town and had a party to make friends. When it was time for the party to end and  people to leave he locked the door after they went out the door to their vehicles and went to bed. Some of the attendees stayed on the patio to smoke after the party was over. Some people had left a jacket and a purse in his home. Since he had gone to bed he was not answering all attempts at getting his attention. Keep in mind that in your own home, you are not obligated to open the door or answer phone calls or texts, Instead of waiting til morning, the man who was killed broke the glass on the sliding glass door to get in. There were some things that ensued that evening and my friend was frightened enough that he used the necessary force to defend himself.

He was well within his rights to defend himself against intruders that meant him harm.

His family needs financial help in order to get a lawyer that will defend him well and get him the proper trial he deserves.

Please, if you find it in your heart to donate I would like to tell you about this guy.

My friend Aaron loved to fish. he loved living in the southern states for this reason, he could fish year round and bring his loving dogs with him. He was a goofball who always would give me a call when he needed dating advice. He would call me at two am with the goofiest laugh and the funniest conversations. When he came to visit, we always played phase 10 and that guy was goofy even when he wasn't winning. He loves to play paintball, he even did a marine event for toys for tots. He took care to train his two dogs to be good and polite dogs, they were basically his children and he cared for them with all of his heart. This man may have some things in his past that are not pretty but so do we all. Please consider donating to help My best friend to get to live his life outside of a jail cell.
