Holly Tucker is a single mother, full-time student, early childhood educator, mentor to at-risk high school girls, healthcare professional, community activist, and the daughter of long-time New Haven social justice activist Barbara Fair.

On September 10th 2016 -- one year after the New Haven police assaulted a fifteen-year-old African American female at a St. Patrick's Day parade -- two New Haven officers assaulted Holly during a traffic stop. In both instances, the officers were exonerated.

Holly's physical wounds, which lasted for months, are now gone; but her emotional wounds continue to haunt her. We are calling on the community to support her in her quest for justice. She has hired a prominent criminal defense attorney to defend her rights and needs financial support from the community to continue her defense. Please consider supporting Holly and opposing police violence against black women in our city.
