44 Weeks running

My daughter got pregnant with Ali at fourteen while living with her father. She wanted to give Ali up but my husband and myself convinced her that she would regret that choice. There was no baby shower or time to prepare because she waited until she was 7 months pregnant to tell anyone.

Before we new it our lives changed. When Ali was 21 days old my daughter and her (alcoholic) father got into a fight which landed them on my door step at 3am (drunk). From that night forward my daughter went about living a normal teenagehood going to her dads for weeks at a time with not even a phone call, hoping through at least 7 relarionships (including one with a 36 yr old man she was 15), and partying (drinking and drugs) with friends .

We not only invested time and money but our hearts into raising Ali.

We stayed up with her the first time she got sick, we were the ones doing midnight feedings, we were there for her first steps, crawl, words and tooth not her mother.

Now we have had Ali ripped away from us simply because Ali is closer to us than her mother, as well as, her mother's partner (girlfriend) don't like us.

If you choose to donate the money will go to pay legal fees associated with a grandparents visitation case.

If you have a child, grandchild, or anyone that you love to the depths of your soul imagine suddenly being told you can't see or talk to them. Now imagine how abandon that child must feel to have their only stable caretakers yanked away.

With your help we will be able to bring the joy back to our lives and have the visitation we deserve granted. Every penny helps because time is short due to my daughter moving Ali to another state.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
