My name is Daniel Kalinowski and I have been fighting for my son, Danny, for over a year now. I am a 7 1/2 year veteran of US Army with 3 tours to Afghanistan under my belt; yet this has been the hardest fight of my life.

With the help of my family, we have been in this fight for over a year now and have seemingly been blocked by the courts discrimination against fathers.  Even with the presence of 2 separate drugs and the neglectful treatment and environment his mother provided for him, we have been unsuccessful thus far.  CPS was called during that time and no updates were provided to me nor was there any attempt to reunite me with our son.  In CPS report they stated that Danny was a candidate for foster care; there was never any mention of considering the father first.
This is not the kind of environment I ever want to see Danny in again. (Screen shot taken during Danny and I on skype).

This photo will only give you a glimpse into the past year. (I do not wish to use any photos as exploits.)
The funds provided will be directly for court costs. I wish to pursue a jury trial as I have lost faith in the court's ability to put Danny first. I would rather have every day people hear our stories and see the evidence; so they might hold both myself (the father) and his mother to the same standard they would themselves.
I already gave up my truck and let all other bills pile up as my only consideration is Danny's future. This is "Our Fight" as I have not been alone in this fight, but we are not made of money. I am grateful for any and all help. If all some of you can do is spread the word then that is more than I could have asked for.
The goal is set a few thousand below what we have already invested in this fight. A jury trial in Texas costs $10,000 and that does not include the attorney. If the goal is met, I am more than confident our current law firm will be able to step up to bat and close this case for once.
This may fall under the divorce category but our only concern here is Danny and there is no category solely for custody. Thank you.
